The autumn season and crisp weather means indoor entertaining season is upon us! While we're big outdoor summer party lovers, there's something so cozy about bringing guests indoors and creating gatherings that celebrate harvest season. Please, take a page from our party planning book and use our tips to create your own cozy fall soirée!
We designed this fall fete in Hudson Valley, New York and every detail was rooted around the very best produce, foliage, and ambiance of the season.
Elevate an hors d'oeuvres display! Stage big wooden cutting boards or platters with stalks of celery, fresh beets, sliced radishes, and fresh veggies and pile on the gourds, pumpkins, and root veggies. Heaping bowls of Green Goddess dressing, hummus, ranch dressing, and herbed olive oil and vinegar dips will have your guests feeling enchanted and well-taken care of. Bonus points for incorporating petite flower pots as individual crudites vessels!
Honor the season with printed goods: seek out your favorite local artist (or create your own design in Canva!) and highlight a picturesque scene that nods to fall. This could represent the dinner menu or a recipe from the party you send your guests home with.
Feeling fanciful? Create food station signs with elements like flannel and bronze bookends. These decor elements
Serve up seasonal cocktails or mocktails in unexpected ways. Turn a simple tray or platter into a beautiful presentation element by wrapping the handles in leather or suede and line with a patterned fabric or laminated print.
Greet your guests outdoors. If weather permits, welcome your guests with a beautiful bar or vignette staged outdoors before moving inside. A roaring fire, warm drinks, and soft music will help to set the tone for cozy.
Elevate display by using big baskets filled with apples, pillar candles, and seasonal fare. The more the merrier, and guests can take home bags filled with apples!
