valley & co. wedding :: chic and vibrant Indian-American countryside wedding

Reeti and Nik’s ultimate wedding vision was to turn sprawling Carnation Farms outside of Seattle into a big and chic lively celebration bringing their 275 guests together from two families and two cultures to feel unified. The day began with portraits around the pastoral grounds and we welcomed guests to an early afternoon ceremony with traditional Indian music and vibrant hues, and big outdoor ovens fire-baking fresh naan! Reeti’s entrance to the ceremony really was one of the most magical we’ve ever witnessed – guests were in awe as she was escorted in with hauntingly beautiful music serenading her to the altar. That walk down the aisle is always special for us to witness as we usher our bride or groom from the role of engaged into newlywed.

Her bridesmaids were all donning decadent saris and Nik wore Indian wedding attire – they all transformed post-ceremony into more Western wedding ware for their Vogue-esque portraits. One of our favorite design elements of the day was the head table, with dripping greens suspended above the diners. We wove in local greens and ferns to enhance the dim romantic illumination, and used dahlias, garden roses, Autumn Joy, pale pink stock, and vines galore to bring nature to the tables.

Thank you, Reeti and Nik for inviting us to take part in such a special day! Your wedding was so special and the love was felt throughout each moment – and what an amazing dance party to cap the night off!   Photos by Max & Sam Photography
