If you ask me, most anything looks that much more festive when it’s subtly glittering with sugar!
This sugared flower tutorial is a favorite of ours for spring entertaining (and also during the holidays to apply to sugared fruits). This will be our 4th Annual Valley Family Easter Brunch and we’ll be welcoming a house full to celebrate, eat, and enjoy. Ava is extremely excited for Easter this year and can hardly wait to decorate eggs tomorrow. Bennett’s first Easter means he’ll just come along for the ride!
However you celebrate, you can easily make these sugared flowers to decorate cupcakes, a towering cake, or even sparkling lemonade.
Here’s what you need:
Edible flowers, Egg whites, Sanding Sugar, Tweezers
Here’s How:
Take washed and dried violas or other edible flowers
Gently brush with egg whites
Use tweezers to hold while you sprinkle and coat them with sanding sugar
Let your sugared flowers dry on parchment paper before you use them. The drying process takes just an hour or two.
Can this easy tutorial be any prettier? We’ve actually used this method for many of our parties and several clients have opted to use sugared flowers to adorn their wedding cocktails. Cheers!
