There’s something so utterly festive about saying We Do on New Year’s Eve. Our clients did just that, and with all of the glittering trappings that you’d expect for such a soiree, and then some! Guests arrived in their tuxes and sequined gowns to the industrial cocktail party setting, greeted with a French coffee cart and biscotti, with upbeat jazz music playing. The ceremony was traditional and quite meaningful – the bridesmaids all carried illuminated mercury glass vessels – and thereafter the bar broke out the bubbly and French 75s!
Some of our favorite parts of the day were all of the unexpected experiences that we had planned. The French jazz band was absolutely spectacular and had the guests dancing like they were in a Parisian speakeasy. The heavy hors d’ oeuvre meal was as delicious as artisenal and beautiful. The surprise rooftop fireworks show was nothing short of incredible, and the late-night delivery of Seattle icon Dick’s Drive-In was welcomed fuel to keep the celebration flowing after the clock struck midnight. The picture of 150 guests in their fur stoles, sequined gowns, and velvet tuxes all huddled up on the icy rooftop overlooking downtown Seattle, wearing the decorative New Year’s Eve regalia we passed on on gold trays, was picture-perfect.
We created our bride’s rich and textured bouquet with the idea of a chilly wintry night in mind, complete with deep red dahlias and the most beautiful scented geranium leaves you ever did see.
It was a New Year’s Eve we’ll always remember and we’re happy to have been part of the festive magic!
