holiday entertaining :: festive french blue + cranberry gathering

Each year the holidays seem to creep up faster and faster, don’t they? This year we’re a little back to the basics as we are unpacking 1/2 half of our belongings after being out of our home for 5 months of renovation. Unfortunately our Christmas decorations, with the exception of one box of our dearest ornaments from European travels and Ava’s baby ornaments, are still buried deep in storage, so we improvised this year with garlands galore and some new festive decor and lights. Our stockings are still hung by the chimney with care, and each gift has been packaged in white butcher paper and carefully wrapped in green velvet ribbon and topped with artistic glittered stickers. New traditions!

Something that’s always a given is our love for throwing gatherings during the holidays, whether it’s cocktail parties or playoff run games. I got together with our talented friend and film photographer Kerry Jeanne Photography to create some inspiration for a holiday soiree, featured on Style Me Pretty today, and love using French Blue, hints of deep cranberry, and delicate touches and festive recipes.
