Island Harvest Soirée

There is something enchanting about close friends gathering in a field on an island for a harvest birthday party. This plan was over two years in the making and it showed. No detail was left untouched and the entire experience was a delight for the senses. We worked with the birthday gal and private chef to conjure up a multi, multi-course menu that started when guests arrived on property and were greeted with paper party hats made by the birthday girl herself. All of the ingredients came from a 20-mile radius and the wines and sparkling hard apple ciders were local to the state.

After guests were greeted and mingled on the water side, they moved into the field for dinner. They found their names and tables with an escort card and herbs and were encouraged to grab a glass of champagne for the walk. We staged one 60′ long table down the field and dressed in gauzy fabric linen and herbs and fall flowers. Guests dined on the most gourmet and fresh fare, cooked in the field by a pit master and private chef! Table captains served big platters of food to each table and guests ate, drank, ate more berry cobbler, and danced into the crisp just-autumn evening.
